Renaissance Festival in Hagerstown, Maryland
Hagerstown presents their Renaissance Festival at the Jonathan Hager House in Hagerstown’s City Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 14. According to the website, the festival includes about 300 re-enactors providing living history demonstrations with period vendors, dueling, and large battles. I wasn’t clear on the fee that’s listed on the website, so I contacted the Museum and received the following from John Byran, the Historic Sites Facilitator for the City of Hagerstown:
You are free to walk around and view the booths and merchants, mock fighting and there are even a few chances for the public to participate such as the archery area. However, there is a nominal admission charge for a tour of the Jonathan Hager House if you choose to take one. Please check out our website and consider taking a tour when you visit the festival, it is really worth it!
Sounds like a good time though the Faire News crew won’t be able to make it.
