Renaissance Faire News - Sharing the Joy of Faire, one post at a time at FaireNews.com!!

The "Have You Met?" series introduces you to some of the people who make Faire a joy!

Looking Forward to February 1 – 8, 2008

I’m gonna’ cheat just a bit and start this week’s Looking Forward with Friday, though Feb 1st was covered last week too.

February 1-3

Hoggetowne Medieval Faire will once again open the gates for visitors to come in to the shire. Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be nice but Weather.com has thunderstorms set for Friday before noon. No matter, I’ll be there anyway.

The Two Rivers Renaissance Faire in Yuma, Arizona, will open the gates for their second season. Performers include The Duelists, the Brobdingnagian Bards, and quite a number of others. Looks like a good time, support them if you’re in the area.

February 5 & 7

The Siouxland Renaissance Festival, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is scheduled to hold local entertainment auditions for new entertainers. Contact siouxlandentertainment@yahoo.com for more information.

February 6

David Flick of Pittsburgh will start an eight week adult improvisational class. David receives high praise from cast members of the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. One member commented that he learned so much the first time and plans to take the class again.

February 8 & 9

The BC Renaissance Festival will hold auditions for ensemble and villagers in Vancouver, British Columbia. There are links to information for stage performers on the same site.

Good luck to all who turn out for audtions and … See you at Faire!
