Big Bear Valley Renaissance Society Inc.is pleased to announce that our 7th annual Renaissance Faire was a huge success! We had the best entertainment that we could find filling up five stages with shows every hour. The Knights of Mayhem preformed their tests of skill as the audience cheered on. Bel-Abi and Akasha totally rocked the Oasis Stage with their drums & dance while Adam the Bawdy Juggler captivated his audience with jokes and juggling on the NC17 Stage. The voices of the Belles of Bedlam filled the air as they sang like nightingales. The children’s stage was standing room only as Captain Jack Sparrow aka. “O.C. Party Pirate” read his tales of the sea. Queen Elizabeth I was not only in attendance; but assisted in a very profitable auction. There was plenty of shopping to be had from essential oils to fine garments. The Boar’s Head served up their mouth watering turkey legs while Pop & Grog quenched their thirsts with homemade root beer; Amagela’s was also present to please our vegetarian friends. We had a multitude of characters and entertainers wandering about to add to the feel of renaissance. Our children’s area was again a big hit with their variety of kiddie crafts and games like Splatter the Platter,Treasure Island,Darts,Singing Mermaid and of course Sir Tristin’s Fishing Hole. The ever popular Ale stands were a welcome sight for the thirsty traveler. Our 7th annual Renaissance Faire was not only fun for all;but we met our goal and our mission is right on tract and we will be providing more scholarships this year.
