Maryland Renaissance Festival – Faire Fun for October 9-15, 2008

Maryland

The Maryland Renaissance Festival continues this weekend and includes ASL Performance Interpretations Sunday on selected stage shows. You’ve got a second chance to catch Albannach on their second and final visit of the season.

2-Day Passes are still available and will save you $10. The discounted tickets are good for any two days.

If you’ve got an interest in the learning more about the Renaissance period, make it a point to attend one, or more, of the Living History Shows presented by the Company of St. George at Hengrave Hall.

  • 11:30am: Bodice Talk with Mistress Beatrice (Bess Wilkins)
A midwife’s guide to birthing and beauty in the Tudor age.
  • 3pm: Law & Order: Tudor Consequences (Charlton Howard)
    Crime and punishment, Tudor style.
  • 4:30pm: Tudor Makeover (Bess Wilkins and Laura Kilbane)
A look at skincare and cosmetics during the Renaissance. Discover how the definition of beauty has changed through the ages.
