Great Plains Renaissance Festival – Faire Fun for October 16-22, 2008
Kansas
It’s Fall and that means it’s time for another Great Plains Renaissance Festival. Wichita is home to one of only a few faires in the country that has two shows per year.
Make sure to get by one of the Advance Ticket Locations to save $3 per child’s ticket. That’s right, they’ve discount kids’ tickets all the way to FREE as long as you get them in advance.
They’ve got a great entertainment line-up including, for the first time, Master Falconer Robert Aanonsen of the Royal Gauntlet. If armed combat is more your style, make sure to see a show by Joustevolution. Someone on RenaissanceFestival.com asked if The Saltire Pipers would be there and the answer is yes, according to the Entertainment Page on the Great Plains RenFest website.
If you want mischief and mayhem, though, check out the ScallyWags Pirate Comedy Show. This is the same bunch that donated their time to help demolish a house as part of an Extreme Home Makeover episode.
