Mid-Michigan Renaissance Festival is holding open auditions next weekend, looking for cast and crew. From their MySpace bulletin:
You can either be one of the cast members on the list (all royals or guard), or you can make up one of your own! Open auditions are for everyone, Cast, Crew, Entertainers, Street Performers, Merchants, Sponsors, Advertisers, ANYONE that wants to come.
They’ve moved the auditions to the River Place Shopping Plaza in Frankenmuth, by the Cass River Bar. The plan is, weather permitting, to use the stage outside. Otherwise, they’ll be inside in one of the unused shops.
You can download the Mid-Michigan RenFest cast application (pdf), fill it out, and bring it with you. Just in case, they’ll have applications on hand too. If you have trouble with the download, send an email to midmichiganrenfest at yahoo dot com and they’ll forward a copy to you.
You are encouraged to come out, even if you were part of last year’s event. Though you won’t have to audition again, you do need to complete an application and sign the contract. Besides, show up in garb and the audition will count as one of your promo events.
Merchants, food vendors, and sponsors are still sought. Find information and applications on their 2009 Applications page.
