Renaissance Faire News - Sharing the Joy of Faire, one post at a time at FaireNews.com!!

The "Have You Met?" series introduces you to some of the people who make Faire a joy!

Looking forward to March 14-21, 2008

Auditions & Job Fairs:

Geulph Faery Festival in Ontario, Canada, will hold open auditions on Monday, March 17th.

Workshops:

Multi Guild Workshop Weekends are two-day events held in Central California, (Ventura County) two to three times a year. Reenactment groups from all over come together to forge new relationships, provide great hands on education, and develop new gigs/bits for upcoming events. See the e-vite for details about the one this weekend (March 15 & 16)

Open Faires:

The Arizona Renaissance Festival continues with its Celtic Nations Celebration. Saturday will find author Diana Gabaldon (Outlander and Lord John series) judging a Sexy Knees Kilt Competition and Sunday all are encouraged to compete in the Wearing of the Green. You can still get tickets online.

The Four Winds Renaissance Faire celebrates St Patrick’s weekend with Irish country dancing.

The Faire News crew will be at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival for the Shamrocks & Kilt weekend, though we’ll be primarily off duty as we also participate in St Molden’s Invasion (an event planned by RenaissanceFestival.com forum members). All weekend, contestants will vie for honors in the Florida State Highland Heavy Games Championship. Interpreters are prepared to sign some of the finest shows for the deaf and hearing impaired as part of Sign Language Saturday (March 15 only). Discount tickets are available online through ClickNPrint. I’ve used ClickNPrint many times; it’s great for avoiding the lines at the gate.

Everyone have a great week and … we’ll see you at Faire!!
