Renaissance Faire News - Sharing the Joy of Faire, one post at a time at FaireNews.com!!

The "Have You Met?" series introduces you to some of the people who make Faire a joy!

Looking back March 24-30, 2007

Dinner Impossible will air Medieval Mayhem again beginning April 2. In that episode, Robert Irvine cooks for the King and court at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. The schedule and recipes can be found at the website.

Upper Canada Medieval Festival, June 13-15 in Morrisburg, Ontario is calling for vendors.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival held its annual Friends of the Faire preview event. All reports I read indicated that it was a good time and folks look forward to opening this coming weekend.

A reminder arrived in my inbox over the weekend for the Celtic Fling & Highland Games held on the site of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival on June 28 & 29. They’ve got quite a line-up scheduled including Gaelic Storm, Tartan Terrors, and Enter The Haggis.

North Carolina Renaissance Faire opened to cold and rain but that didn’t keep people from having a good time. As they say, the show must go on. WRAL.com has posted some great pictures from the weekend taken by Ricky Wai Ki Leung.

Caroline Jett as Queen Katherine ParrThe Faire News crew attended the Bay Area Renaissance Festival Sunday, enjoying the masked excitement of the Italian Carnivale. From large and feathered to dainty wires bejeweled with crystal to painted-on mustachio and goatee, features where hidden and laughter shared. We again shared afternoon tea with Queen Katherine Parr (played by Caroline Jett), enjoying the repast and entertainment. The Rat Pucking Tournament was a great success with the treasured Scarlet Rat being awarded to Sir Dumas.
