Louisiana Renaissance Festival April workshop

The Louisiana Renaissance Festival holds workshops over the summer for those who might be interested in joining their cast. Their first workshop in March included a number of newcomers and it sounds like everyone had a great time.

The April 12th workshop, 9:45am until 5:00pm at the festival site, is again open to anyone who would like information on joining the cast. Each workshop builds on information provided during the prior workshop, so this will be the last opportunity for newcomers to join. The April workshop will teach you how to introduce your character, how to give and receive compliments, a little bit of renaissance history and most importantly GARB (costuming).

At the end of the day there will be a garb swap-n-shop (garage sale for costuming). Anyone with garb they would like to get rid of should feel free to bring it and give/sell it after the workshop (~2:30pm). The swap-n-shop is open to everyone who is interested in buying or selling garb, even if you are not interested in being a part of the festival cast.
