Four Winds Ren-dependence Joust Tournament
There’s a new Texas tradition in the making at the site of the Four Winds Renaissance Faire south of Tyler, Texas. The gates will swing open at 4pm on June 28 & 29, 2008, to welcome visitors to a new kind of New/Old World celebration of Independence Day. This special event includes musical entertainment, a variety of artists and vendors, archery and games, fire dancers, and a fireworks display.
At 6pm each day, the joust tournament features armoured knights on horseback vying for the championship. The beautiful belly dancers from Tyler ‘s own “Dream Harem” and “Inspyre Fire,” the amazing fire dancers, will be there to delight and entertain as well.
Food and drink concessions are available with turkey legs, steak-on-a-stake, and other delicious Renaissance treats.
