Sterling Renaissance Festival – Faire Fun for August 7-13, 2008
New York
It’s the fifth weekend of the Sterling Renaissance Festival and they’re celebrating with a Wine Lover’s Bacchanal. Pubs will offer samples of wines from across the Finger Lakes wine region and a grape stomping contest will select the Lord or Lady of Wine. If you’d rather sample your wine in a more genteel atmosphere, purchase tickets for the Wine Tasting event where you’ll enjoy a flight of Finger Lakes wine, a cheese and fruit platter, and a talk by a local winemaker.
There are various ways to get discounts, some will save you time, some money, some both:

What a magical weekend it was! We had a hail storm that covered the sight with 1/2″ hail! No damahe other than some minor flooding & everyone had a great time playing in the rain & hail! After the storm we had a lovly double rainbow over the parking lot!

*grinning* Mike, that sounds like a great way to spend time and a lot of fun, in spite of the weather. I’m scanning the pictures and I see lots of people having a great time. Thanks for sharing the link with us.
