Kings Realm Renaissance Festival will not open

My earlier post was to have been my last on this subject. However, John Furnace Sr had the following to say on RenaissanceFestival.com and asked that it be cross posted to reach as many persons as possible:

As you all know we have run into many stumbling blocks along our way.
We are now working with the County of Brazoria to do everything to their specifications. The county has required that we post this notice stating that the Faire WILL NOT be opening this year at all.
Please pass the word along…
Feel free to copy and paste this notice on any other forums you may be a member of.NOTICE:

King’s Realm Renaissance Festival, formerly known as Songwood Renaissance Festival, LLC, will not be held in the Alvin or Manvel area this spring.
The event that was scheduled to begin on March 8, 2008 and continue each weekend and ending on March30, 2008, WILL NOT BE HELD.
This event WILL NOT BE HELD until further notice from John E. Furnace, Sr. and John E. Furnace, Jr.
Disregard any a;nd all notices that have been poste on various websites, forums, chat rooms, and/or magazines.
Until proper permitting is obtained, no renaissance festival will occur at County Rd. 38, Alvin-Manvel, Texas.
Please do not come to the Alvin or Manvel, Tx area expecting to attend the renaissance festival. You will be turned away and prohibited from entering the property.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
