My GivingThanks wish for each of you
Around the Shadow’s Hold, we celebrate the US custom of Thanksgiving today. We’ll be hitting the road in a little while traveling to my sibling’s family home to spend a day full of too many people, too much food, lots of love, and never enough Thanks. Before we go, I’m going to take a moment and Give Thanks for those of you who have helped make our first year at FaireNews such a joy.
To the performers, staff, merchants, and all the others who create the magic that is Faire, my sincere thanks. You bring such a smile to our faces in so many ways.
To those who attend faire looking for the magic, whether for the first time ever, the first time of the season, the first time at a new faire, or as seasoned RenRats like us, our Thanks to each of you. It’s your willingness to suspend the real world and sink into the magic that helps bring our little oasis to life.
To our readers, thank you for supporting us through this year. It’s been a joy hearing from each of you, both here in the comments, via email, and in person at Faire! We plan to keep going and to bring back the “Have You Met” series after the first of the year.
My wish for each of you is that you are with at least part of your chosen family this day, enjoying the start of the HollyDaze in whatever fashion you choose.
