Louisiana Renaissance Festival April workshop
The Louisiana Renaissance Festival presents workshops throughout the summer for those who might be interested in joining their cast. There were quite a few newcomers at the March workshop and it sounds like they had a good time. The next workshop is April 12th at the festival site from 9:45am until 5:00pm. Since each workshop builds on information provided during the prior one, this will be the last opportunity for newcomers in the 2008 season. The April workshop will teach you how to introduce your character, how to give and receive compliments, a little bit of renaissance history, and most importantly GARB (costuming).
At the end of the day there will be a garb swap-n-shop (garage sale for costuming). Anyone with garb they would like to get rid of feel free to bring it and give/sell it after the workshop (~2:30pm). The swap-n-shop is open to everyone who is interested in buying or selling garb, even if you are not interested in being a part of our local cast.
