RESCU negotiates $1M savings

We first introduced you to RESCU Foundation as part of the Have You Met series in May 2008. It’s an organization that we here at FaireNews take great pleasure in supporting.

This past week, notes from RESCU Foundation’s annual meeting were posted on their MySpace page. Lots of good information was included but one thing stood out to me.

During the April 2008 interview with RESCU Board Member Brande Watson, we discussed the newly created Advocacy Program. She called it the wave of the future and the stats are proving her correct. According to the post, in excess of $1,000,000 has been negotiated off of medical bills since the programs inception 2 years ago.

Way to go, RESCU Advocacy Volunteers!
